Abstract

Wing proposed the concept of computational thinking and stressed that every child should learn computational thinking as well as reading, writing, and calculation. Computational thinking emphasizes the ability to take use of computer science knowledge to solve problems. It contains problem decomposition, pattern recognition, generalization and algorithm design. To foster engagement and creativity, applying open hardware as a learning tool to facilitate programming learning or computer science learning is popular in recent years.
