Abstract

The twofold focus of this research work is to chart the educational pathways that have led indigenous working-class students to access higher education, and how they have survived within it. Drawing on Bourdieu’s work on education, it pays special attention to the cumulative disadvantage of capital, but also to the ways these inequalities have been ameliorated and their habitus transformed.
