This meta-analysis was written to research and review enthusiasm exhibited by educators in the classroom setting. The goal of this research was to identify and explain the effect of teacher enthusiasm on students’ motivation and achievement in school and generally throughout one’s lifetime. The following five questions that were examined during this research were; “What is enthusiasm and motivation,” “Why is it important for teachers to motivate students,” “What are the characteristics of teacher motivation,” “What happens between teachers and students when they are engaged in teaching and learning,” and “Does a teacher’s enthusiasm and motivation effect students’ overall success and achievement?” The research that was conducted to complete this thesis confirmed that the behavior and the overall demeanor of teachers has a profound affect on students’ learning, behavior, and overall achievement.
