Abstract

The most important goal of national university educational system is to form students’ economic competence. Differently specialized students must be ready to make rational decisions in a particular economic situation and to be responsible for the economic result of their professional activity. The medical workers have to orient in problems of financing health care, medical insurance, marketing of medical services, etc. The educational practice and current educational program assume a reduction in studying economic theory hours by about 60%, which contributes to a formal approach in studying economics. The material thus collected was analyzed by means of common methods of descriptive statistics. We intended to assess the level of medical university students’ interest in economic issues.
