Abstract

There were more than 4000 students with cognitive disabilities in Taiwan colleges in 2017 who were with learning difficulties. They included the students with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and other disabilities. One of the important purposes of assessment accommodation is to correctly evaluate students’ learning performance. Many scholars have examined assessment efficiency using learning performance variables (Richter & Test, 2011). An assessment validly accommodated for students with disabilities is supposed to be able to improve the students’ learning involvement. The typical assessment is unable to fully assess students’ learning performance and learning achievement. An alternative mode, assessment accommodation will be a fair assessment in evaluating learning performance for these college students with cognitive disability.
