Where Teachers and Creativity Meet: A Phenomenological Examination of Teachers’ Self-Conceptions of Creativity
In 1987, the United States Supreme Court upheld the dismissal of Jacqueline Fowler, who was fired by the Lincoln County board of education for showing the Pink Floyd movie – The Wall . This ruling affirmed that teachers in the United States are expected to at some level to conform to the values of the community in which they teach.
