Abstract

In this presentation, we will first share some examples of blended learning in different scenarios, and then create some blended learning content in StoryTellAR, an exciting new blended learning platform. We will illustrate ideas on how to leverage the existing textbooks, workbooks, and teaching materials, to allow teachers to easily create lessons with blended learning and flipped classroom. Also, we will share the method of applying AR on visual art and how to create a virtual art exhibition, for kindergarten, primary school, and secondary schools, where cross-disciplinary learning and student agency can be facilitated by the platform in both face-to-face and remote learning situations. With hands-on, interactive sessions, educators can create amazing digital teaching materials. StoryTellAR is a remote learning & blended learning platform, to help students and teachers achieve better learning in the New Normal by complementing real-time Zoom classes with our non-real-time platform, leveraging existing offline learning materials like story books, textbooks, and workbooks, while allowing teachers to personalize for classes and to save time. On top of that, we are honored that StoryTellAR has won different awards, including City I&T Grand Challenge (Social Connectivity) - Open Group Champion; HKICT Smart People Award, Smart Education and Learning - Silver Award. StoryTellAR has held various webinars and workshops for educators and K – 12 school teachers, and Leo was the educator speaker for a workshop in ECOOcamp Ontario 2021, to help teachers with efficiency, and for students to achieve better learning outcomes.
