Abstract

The concept of self-healing, as a paradigm of software that being capable to restore itself when damage is occured, have long been introduced and studied for several years. Various models and concept was proposed, with variety of approaches, both based on artificial intelligence or agent-based, either single or multi-agent. The research of self-healing has wide spectrum and has intersection or connection with another field such as autonomic computing. The research opportunity in self-healing is wide open and some of them fall into how to design the automated recovery system. First stage of self-healing process is detecting the failure and need supported by good decision model based on specific parameters. The contribution of this literature review is the research opportunity to propose a decision model of self-healing software than can implement the multi-agent concept. The model is conceptually can be used as an approach for designing the general self-healing model.
