This study presents an example of atrium ventilation modeling using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It pays more attention to the requirements of ventilation modelling in the cases of stack ventilation, wind ventilation, and hybrid ventilation considering the hot climatic condition. The conducted preliminary investigation shows that passive design strategies could be effectively enhanced using low-energy mechanical systems. It has also concluded some recommendations regarding the utilization of natural ventilation in atrium buildings.
