Abstract

Nowadays, Spilled Oil have caused sea and river pollution. However, the strategy for spilled oil collection has remained almost the same as it was for 1969. Skimmers which are widely used to collect the oil, being interrupted effective collection of spilled oil by thin layer of oil on seawater because of its scale. In this context, we show that a graphene vessel can separates and stores the oil in the vessel without any external power when it is placed on the oil-covered seawater. Countless pores in reduced graphene oxide foam suction oil by capillary force like sponge, and the suctioned oil flows into the vessel by gravity.
