In primary school mathematics education, the choice of teaching and learning mode plays an important role in students' academic performance. In view of the present situation of project teaching method practice research, this paper analyzes and discusses how to use project teaching method in primary school mathematics education, the teaching effect of multiple project model on students with different grades, and the influence of project learning model on mathematics learning of lower grade students in primary school. Using parallel experimental analysis method, this paper compares the two learning modes of mathematics curriculum in the third grade of primary school, and verifies the project-based teaching method from the perspective of comprehensive practice activities. Research shows that project-based teaching method has practical value in mathematics learning in the lower grades of primary schools, and the effective use of project-based teaching and learning mode has a significant impact on improving students' mathematical cognitive ability.
