The workplace is changing, and universities need to change too to prepare students for successful career after graduation. With an increased focus on lifelong learning and short courses, this raises the question of whether a postgraduate qualification is still relevant or necessary. Based on role of postgraduate programmes, particularly the research program to generate new knowledge, it is believed that the role of postgraduate education will continue to stay relevant.
