Abstract

Japanese K-12 schools are asked to cultivate builders of sustainable society. The authors have engaged in educational practices of fostering human resources capable of respect for others and for working in collaboration with a huge variety of people while making use of ICT and programming effectively, hoping to enhance educational effect. This practice was performed for students of an elementary school. Students played with a model car driven by robot ball controlled using a program. The purpose of this practices is for elementary school students to understand the necessities of traffic rules when driving simulated model buses and to imagine desirable coexisting styles of street cars, transit buses, cars, and pedestrians.
