Abstract

Reflecting-in-action [5] is a concept that involves individuals thinking about what they are doing, while they are doing it. Educators employ this daily as they deliver “intuitive performances” in their classrooms by drawing upon prior knowledge and skills to react in unique situations. Prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic where practitioners shifted immediately to emergency remote education, this manuscript begins to explore ways in which pre-service educators approach uncertain situations in classroom settings and start to develop the complex skill of reflecting-inaction.
