Abstract

Vehicular networks are gaining popularity with every passing day. As more people are relying on this technology therefore it needs better security and authenticity mechanisms. Lack of central control is one of the main deficiencies of ad-hoc networks. To have data authenticity, Blockchain based solutions for vehicular ad-hoc networks are already proposed but these solutions are reliable until the malicious users are below a certain limit. As soon as the number of malicious users exceed the certain limit, credibility of the mechanisms drops significantly as blockchain technology is working on consensus principle. In this paper we proposed a trust based Blockchain mechanisms for vehicular ad-hoc networks that will consider the scenario where the presence of malicious users are more than the specified limits. To test the scenarios, we conducted experiments and results are compared with the existing solutions.
