Abstract

When COVID-19 started, educational institutions pivoted all traditional face-to-face (F2F) courses to a primary online teaching and learning model, and we called this Emergency Remote Education (ERE) [1]. Previous studies have accumulated rich theories in F2F and online education and have proven that student enagement positively interconnects with student success. This paper explored the transformation in student engagement from F2F to ERE and the reason causing changes.
