Abstract

The study examined continuous professional development and teachers’ attitude towards curriculum change in some selected secondary schools in Yaoundé VI Sub-Division. Four research hypotheses were formulated based on the four variables: pedagogic seminars, pedagogic animation, training in remediation technique and training in teaching technique. 306 teachers from four secondary schools in Yaoundé VI Sub-Division of the Centre Region of Cameroon were involved in this survey. The argument for study anchored on adult learning theory by Malcolm Knows (1968), Albert Bandura’s learning theory (1977), Lev Vygotsky’s social development theory (1935), and John Dewey new theory of education (1952). A questionnaire was used for Data collection. The data will be analysed with the use of SPSS software version 26.0. Both descriptive and inferential statistics will be used to analysed the data using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA), the independent sample student t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
