Abstract

In the new century of teaching and learning, university teachers must keep pace with the times, learn how to engage in “innovative teaching”, strive for excellence, and improve quality. Good university teachers have always tried to engage students using different approaches and methods, in order to improve student learning. Flipped classrooms are a major innovation in universities. Flipped learning has been in the spotlight in college education for a few years. The concept of flipped classrooms, is also referred to as the flipped instruction, flipped learning, inverted classroom, reversed instruction, or blended learning (Barnard, et al., 2009; Hao & Lee, 2016).
