Abstract

The use of social networking media, which is among technology platforms in education, is increasingly accepted as tools of communication in education management. Social networking media have the potential to build opportunities in improving the competency in managing education. The management of education in this study refers to the management by teachers in school. This study examines the level of social networking media acceptance in managing various fields of educational task in school. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) [4], is used to identify usable perceptions and easy-to-use perceptions that lead to the behavior of receiving social networks as means of communication in managing education according to the set areas. The quantitative research approach is implemented by using descriptive survey method. The data were collected from schools in Labuan Island. This study confirms the usable and easy-to-use perception is the factor of choosing social networking applications in education management.
