Abstract

Canadian universities campus landscape is very diverse with 96% growth of international students over the last 10 years [1]. Master of Medical Biotechnology (MMB) is a professional innovative program with mainly International students at the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry, University of Windsor with courses in biotechnology and business. MMB program students’ enrollment is mainly from India, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Middle East. These students have varied learning styles and have different levels of educational background. Study guide has been developed to assist students in their academic success by providing high level information about courses, types of assessments with samples, relatively new terminologies, required textbooks and resources applicable to both the science and business aspects of the program. This study guide will go a long way towards helping international students in swiftly learning new course formats and course expectations, easing their transition into a new country with new academic environment.
