Abstract

The education system in India comprises common school structure (class I-XII) and pattern of studies for the students. The school curriculum at elementary level (class I-VIII) focuses on connecting knowledge with day- to -day life, avoiding rote learning, value inculcation and life skill development. With underlying principle that every child can learn, the students are motivated to discover and explore, comprehend and know and develop the ability to experiment across all the areas of learning. Over a period, such curricular and co-curricular practices support students in developing problem-solving abilities.
