Abstract

Inspiring curiosity in students is a challenging yet fulfilling goal for teachers. A curious student is more likely to continue learning, appreciate knowledge, and inspire others. However, negative emotions such as fear, stress, and disgust hinder curiosity, weakening self-motivation and the acquisition of new perspectives. Unlike children, who possess innate curiosity and readily engage with new ideas, adults’ firmly established perceptions can make it difficult for them to embrace new concepts. This ongoing research presents an innovative model aimed at transitioning adult students from fear to curiosity regarding insects.
