The Role of The University in Achieving Family Security for Students According to Islamic Education
Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the role of the university in achieving family security for the students in the light of Islamic education, by identifying the roles of the university professor, university courses, and student activities, and the study also aimed to reveal the challenges that weaken the university’s establishment in achieving family security for its students in the light of Islamic education, and to reveal proposals that would contribute to the university’s achievement of family security for students. In light of this, a questionnaire consisting of 39 singles divided into five sections was built and applied to a sample of 110 faculty members at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Wadi Al-Dawasir and Sulayil branch. The study reached many results, the most important of which are: that the faculty members who participated in the study agree to a moderate degree on the university’s achievement of family security among its students in the light of Islamic education, and the participants agreed with a medium degree of approval that the university professor plays his role in achieving family security for students to a high degree, and they also believe that the current student courses and activities achieve family security for students to an average degree. The study also revealed that there are some challenges that limit the university’s role in achieving family security for students, the most important of which are: the existence of challenges related to bridging the gap between the student’s university preparation and the requirements of the labor market, as well as the existence of challenges related to the confidentiality of family information for the student, and the existence of challenges related to the participation of students’ families in the university’s activities related to family security.
