Abstract

Place value is a math concept which is taught to students as soon as they begin to count more than ten. Many think it is just an easy concept, but true academic learning can be taxing. The language of place value is an aspect many teachers and students overlook. Math is often thought to be the universal language. Incorrect language can lead to many significant errors.
