Abstract

This research investigates how English language instructors use technology in an ELU classroom using computer-assisted language learning (CALL). Technology is a big part of instructor instruction. Therefore, it is crucial to examine instructors’ perceptions of technology use and the best practices for these technologies in terms of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). This study involves both instructor and classroom observation analysis and a questionnaire that focuses on (CALL) elements, distributed to the English Language Unit (ELU) teaching instructors at Kuwait University in various areas of language learning. The results will provide a better understanding of how instructors utilize technology and provide a better guideline for instructors to follow, the barriers to technology use, recommendations, and how instructors can use technologies most effectively in the future.
