Abstract

This paper examines the transition from traditional to technology-driven assessment processes in higher education, focusing on implementation strategies, challenges, and opportunities. Through analysis of current literature and practices, the study explores key factors including faculty engagement, system integration, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance. Findings indicate that successful transitions require careful attention to both technical and human factors, with particular emphasis on stakeholder buy-in and sustainable support structures. The research highlights how accreditation requirements and technological capabilities intersect to shape assessment practices, while also identifying emerging trends such as AI-assisted grading and adaptive technologies. This work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on educational assessment by providing insights into effective implementation strategies and considerations for institutions navigating the shift toward technology-enhanced assessment practices. Recommendations for future research and practical implications are discussed.
