Abstract

Project-based learning is a student-centered teaching and learning methodology that promotes the acquisition of both theoretical knowledge and specific technical skills, together with the development of transversal skills. In this paper we are presenting theimplementation of this approach in a Psychology undergraduate course at Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Catholic University of Portugal – Braga. Considering both process and outcome results, students´ where highly motivated, achieved the expected learning outcomes, by acquiring the theoretical knowledge and then applying the technical skills in the development of such as podcasts, web pages, and mobile apps. In the scope of the presentation, and from the thematic analysis conducted using the student activity monitoring records, we intend to address their perceptions regarding the experience and transversal skills developed.
