Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various facets of our lives has sparked both fascination and concern. Nowhere is this dichotomy more pronounced than in the realm of cybersecurity, where the fear of AI-driven threats has taken center stage. As AI continues to advance, so too does the anxiety surrounding its potential misuse and thevulnerabilities it may introduce to our digital defenses. The model of AI fear proposed here aims at demonstrating that a rejection of AI based upon fear is dependent upon such theoretical constructs as threat, threat efficacy and social influence.
